Exchanging information and opinions among the public is one of the ways to build strong and happy families that can contribute to national unity.

This was underscored at the public forums organised yesterday in the Brunei-Muara District in the morning and the Belait District in the afternoon.

The motivational speakers delivered various information, on the ways family members can help towards building each other while strengthening the family institution.

The forum was moderated by Awang Muhammad Yusof bin Haji Abdul Majid @ Haji Ajak, Special Duties Officer at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, while the two panel speakers were Ustaz Dr. Haji Noralizam bin Haji Aliakbar, Dean of Student Affairs at the Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan and Awang Haji Ali Yusri bin Haji Abdul Ghafor, Head of Counselling and Career Guidance Unit at the Ministry of Education.

There was also a question and answer session at the end of the forum.

Present as the guest of honour during the morning session at the International Convention Centre of Berakas was the Minister of Education, Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman, who was accompanied by his spouse.

The guest of honour for the afternoon session at the Pusat Insani of Seria was Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, Deputy Minister of Education who came along with his spouse.

Also present were Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports and his spouse, as well as heads of department and officers and staff from the government as well as non-government organisations.
