His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send a congratulatory message to His Excellency Shinzo Abe, Prime Minister of Japan following the Liberal Democratic Party's victory at the recent General Elections.

In the message, His Majesty stated that the Liberal Democratic Party's victory is a strong reflection of the people's trust and confidence in His Excellency's leadership. His Majesty wished His Excellency success in his endeavours and looked forward to continue working with His Excellency to further strengthen the much-valued relations between Brunei Darussalam and Japan, both bilaterally and as Partners in the Asia-Pacific region. In ending his message, His Majesty conveyed his best wishes for His Excellency's continued good health and happiness.
