Ministry of Education employees including government and private educational institutions are recommended to fully utilise the Ministry of Education portal as the ministry's official information and reference materials resource centre. This is to ensure government investments could be optimised and subsequently impact significantly on the development and progress of education in Brunei Darussalam. The call came from Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman, the Minister of Education at the launch of the revamped portal at the Ministry this afternoon.

Yang Berhormat Pehin said it is the responsibility of the Ministry of Education and the portal also has a vital role as the 'learning portal' that could be accessed all day long by the ministry's staffs especially school leaders, teachers, students as well as parents, researchers and the public.  The facility provides information on the development of education in the country, and contributes assistance and opinions to further enhance the quality of education and students' achievements. The Minister added updating the portal also provides a platform for users and the public to give constructive feedback through an official channel to any party in the Ministry of Education. Yang Berhormat Pehin welcomed users and other stakeholders to make complaints and raise other issues using the portal and also to share solutions because education is everyone's responsibility.

The portal enables users or clients to access information on the Ministry of Education through the new web interface which features personal and specific technology. The facility has various new features including providing access to information and official data, teaching and learning resources to teachers and students alike besides facilitating set integration in cooperation and sharing teaching and learning equipment. The main focus of the portal is to spur more awareness among users, especially Ministry of Education employees on the contents and services it provided as well as encouraging the continuous utilisation of the portal. Among those in attendance was Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, the Deputy Minister of Education.
