His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send a congratulatory message to His Excellency Shinzo Abe, on the occasion of his re-appointment as the Prime Minister of Japan.

In the message, His Majesty stated Brunei Darussalam and Japan continued to enjoy close long-standing cooperation in many areas including energy, trade and investment as well as people-to-people exchanges. Furthermore, His Majesty convey his deep appreciation for His Excellency's personal commitment and contributions in enhancing these much valued bilateral ties, and looked forward to continue to work together with His Excellency in further strengthening the regional partnership, particularly in their role as Country Coordinator for SEAN - Japan Dialogue Relations.

In ending his message, His Majesty conveyed his kindest regards and best wishes for His Excellency's success in his new term as Prime Minister as well as for his continued good health and prosperity.
