The Ministry of Defence has received an official visit from the Minister for Education (Higher Education and Skills) and Second Minister of Defence, Republic of Singapore.  His Excellency Ong Ye Kung is in the country as one of the senior official delegation of His Excellency Teo Chee Hean, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore and Coordinating Minister for National Security to attend the 'Singapore Young Leaders Programme" between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore. 

Upon arrival at the Ministry of Defence, His Excellency Ong Ye Kung was welcomed with a Guard of Honour mounted by the personnel of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.

His Excellency then called on the Deputy Minister of Defence, Brunei Darussalam, (Retired) First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohd Tamit and discussed issues of mutual interest. Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore enjoy a cordial bilateral relationship since 1976.
