His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send congratulatory messages to His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni, King of the Kingdom of Cambodia and His Excellency Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the kingdom of Cambodia as well as to the Government and people of the Kingdom of Cambodia on the occasion of the 64th Independence Day.

In the message to His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni, King of the Kingdom of Cambodia, His Majesty expressed his great satisfaction for the warm friendship and close cooperation enjoyed by Brunei Darussalam and the Kingdom of Cambodia, and confident that these much-valued ties will continue to strengthen in the years ahead.

Meanwhile, in a similar message to His Excellency Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the kingdom of Cambodia, His Majesty expressed his great appreciation for His Excellency's presence during His Majesty's Golden Jubilee Celebration last month and believed that this is a strong testament to the close and long-standing relations between Brunei Darussalam and the Kingdom of Cambodia. His Majesty looked forward to continuing working with His Excellency in further deepening the much-valued bilateral ties and partnership in ASEAN.

In ending the messages His Majesty extended his kindest regards and very best wishes for to His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni's good health and happiness and also to His Excellency Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen and his family as well as for the continued prosperity of the people of the Kingdom of Cambodia in celebrating the independence day.
