Books published by the local writers, are vital in the context of sharing ideas, knowledge and experience to be read by the public and community. Towards that, the Language and Literature Bureau, this afternoon signed agreement with the local authors.

Ten local writers signed the agreements.  Among them were Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Othman, the Minister of Religious Affairs, Dato Paduka Haji Muslim bin Haji Burut who is also known as Muslim Burmat and Dayang Norsiah Abd Gapar. Signing on behalf of the Language and Literature Bureau was by Doctor Haji Mohd Ali bin Haji Radin, Head of Books Planning Section of the Language and Literature Bureau and witnessed by Datin Paduka Doktor Hajah Norlila binti Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Jalil, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and Awang Suip bin Haji Abdul Wahab, the Acting Director of Language and Literature Bureau.
