Autoriti Monetari Brunei Darussalam (AMBD), in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Religious Affairs, yesterday morning held a School Outreach Activity at the Sayyidina Umar Al-Khattab Secondary School in Lumapas. The outreach activity is hoped to enhance awareness on the importance of savings, financial independence and to make individuals and households, in particular students, to be more financially-savvy in the future.

This activity is a continuation of the Distribution Ceremony of the 50 cent denomination of the 5th Series Coins in Circulation to Pre-school, Primary, Secondary and Sixth Form Students of Brunei Darussalam in conjunction with The Golden Jubilee of His Majesty Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's Accession to the Throne. Present was Hajah Siti Norishan binti Hj Abd Ghafor, Acting Assistant Managing Director (Legal Affairs and Project Management) of AMBD. The students also involved in the interactive games and activities which gave introduction on local currency and financial management
