Reforestation Project Tree Planting

Towards instilling the sense of responsibility, respect and love towards nature to the children, Year 6 pupils of the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Primary School, this morning organised the Yayasan School Reforestation Project tree planting activity.

 

The Tree Planting Activity was officiated by Her Excellency Nagma Mohamed Mallick, High Commissioner of the Republic of India to Brunei Darussalam. Her Excellency has donated 5 tree saplings to be planted in the school area. While Forestry Department sponsored 100 tree saplings of different species to be planted on the hill slopes to prevent further erosion. Such activity aims to educate the students on the disastrous effect of deforestation and the importance of protecting the environment.
