Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah this afternoon presented donation to several Non Governmental organisations and bodies as well as several mosques, surau and religious halls throughout the country.  This is in line with the Yayasan's role as a platform for distribution of welfare contributions from His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and His Majesty's family members as a sign of His Majesty's care and love for his subjects, apart from maintaining the well-being, peace and prosperity of the community in the country.   The donations were presented at the Yayasan complex in the capital.

The contribution was handed over by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman, Minister of Education as the Chairman of the Yayasan Board of Directors. Fifty Thousand Dollars were donated to the Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam in order to support the centre in handling their services. Fifty Thousand Dollars  were also donated to the Management of Autism Related Issues in Training, Education and Resources, SMARTER which was received by Awang Malai Haji Abdullah bin Malai Haji Othman, President of SMARTER Brunei, and Thirty Four Thousnad And Four Hundred Dollars were contributed to the Brunei History Association, PESEBAR. Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah also donated Twelve Thousand Dollars to the Angkatan Sasterawan dan Sasterawani Group, ASTERAWANI in sponsoring part of their expenses in organizing the 4th Assembly of Prominent Literary Figures and Experts which will be staged on 17th until 22nd of November.

ASTERAWANI also received Five Thousand Dollars to compensate part of the expenses in organizing the International Poem Reading in conjunction with the Golden Jubilee Celebration of His Majesty's Accession to the Throne. The Brunei Darussalam Sepak Takraw Association, PESTABARU received Five Thousand Dollars, while, Six Thousand And Three Hundred Dollars were donated to the Special Olympics Brunei Darussalam, SOBD. Meanwhile, the Brunei Darussalam AIDS Council received Eight Hundred Dollars. While, 47 mosques, surau and religious halls received Thirty Nine Thousand, Four Hundred And Fifty Dollars specifically in organizing ceremonies or activities in conjunction with the Maulidur Rasul Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wasallam 1439 Hijrah. Also present was Dato Paduka Awang Eddie bin Dato Paduka Haji Sunny, Managing Director of the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.
