Awareness on safety while riding a motorcycle is important in efforts to reduce road accidents in the country. The Brunei Darussalam Motorcycle Association, PEMODA organised the PEMODA Motorcycle Convention 2017 at the Times Hotel and Times Square Mall in Berakas this afternoon.

During the convention, the participants had the opportunity to join the 50 kilometres Golden Jubilee Symbolic Ride as an expression of gratitude to His Majesty Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in conjunction with the Golden Jubilee of His Majesty's accession to the throne.  The convoy cruised along main and small roads, passing by historic and interesting places around Bandar Seri Begawan.   The objective was to stir patriotism as well as learning basic safe riding techniques.  Participants from 20 youth associations registered in the country participated in the convention.
