An Indonesian national was sentenced to imprisonment by the Bandar Seri Begawan Magistrate's Court for offences of the Immigration Act Chapter 17.

23 year-old Mesrayanti, was sentenced to 7 months imprisonment for overstaying in the country after her employment pass expired for 505 days. The offender was arrested by officers from the Law Enforcement Section of the Department of Immigration and National Registration on the 18th of this month at Kampung Kiarong, in Gadong.
