His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in a titah highlights the Civil Service Framework being implemented by the Prime Minister's Office as the leading agency of the Civil Service. His Majesty however stresses that all initiatives arranged under the framework would not be complete without taking into account the spiritual factors, morals and ethics for members of the Civil Service.

The Monarch says a good Civil Servant is an honest and trustworthy person, not someone who is efficient but dishonest and misuses authority, or people who are slanderers or create slanders. His Majesty made the titah during the 24th Civil Service Day this morning.  Touching on the New Performance Management System introduced on the 1st of October 2017, His Majesty says its main goal is to enable the fair, transparent and objective assessment of the work of each officer and staff.  This would reflect their real contribution to the service.
