His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, yesterday afternoon received in audience His Excellency Professor Cao Jianming, the Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuratorate of People's Republic of China, who is on a three-day working visit starting from yesterday. The audience ceremony took place at Istana Nurul Iman. Accompanying His Excellency during the Audience Ceremony were Her Excellency Yang Jian, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Brunei Darussalam; and Mr. Guo Xiangwang, Director General of the International Cooperation Bureau of the Supreme People's Procuratorate of China.

Also present in the audience ceremony were Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Paduka Hajah Hayati binti Pehin Orang Kaya Shahbandar Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Salleh, Attorney General; Datin Dayang Hajah Elinda binti Haji C.A. Mohammad, Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office; Awang Haji Abdullah Soefri bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Awg Abidin; Acting Solicitor-General and Dayang Hajah Nor Hashimah binti Haji Mohd Taib, Assistant Solicitor-General. During the audience, both sides acknowledged the long-standing relationship and close legal cooperation between the countries particularly through existing mechanisms including the China-ASEAN Prosecutor General Conference (CAPGC).
