Educational development and progress are among His Majesty's highest priorities. After the handing over ceremony, His Majesty visited two educational institutions in the Brunei Muara District. His Majesty also visited the homes of the land lots recipients, the Head Village of Kawasan Satu, RPN Lambak Kanan as well as the house keys recipients.

The Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Masna Secondary School at Jalan Utama Mentiri, Kampung Sungai Akar was among the focus of His Majesty's visit.  Established in 1989, the school was formerly known as Lambak Kanan Secondary School.  Four years later, the name of the school was changed to the Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Masna Secondary School.  The all-girls school formerly operated at the RPN Lambak Kanan before it moved to a new building in November 2015. About 800 students from Years 7 to 11 are currently studying at the school that offers various academic programs including Pearson BTEC Technical Program and pre-vocational.  With more than 100 teaching staff, the school is committed in moulding the students' potential to a higher level through quality education.

The Monarch's interaction with the students was a morale booster for the students to achieve success in the educational field.  His Majesty's Government has allocated a large budget for the country's educational sector in churning out citizens that are knowledgeable and highly skilled as well as being creative and innovative in any suitable fields. Several activities were also held including exhibition and demonstration.  His Majesty also took part in a fire extinguishing demonstration which was organised by the Fire and Rescue Department.  Apart from academic, the school's infrastructure as well as its field have caught His Majesty's attention.

Since its establishment in 1989, the Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Masna Secondary School is active in achieving the school mission which is to nurture the girls into women of substance, ready to lead and serve. His Majesty then visited the house of one of the land lots recipients in R-P-N Madang for Division Two government officers.  The house is owned by Dayangku Nur Zirwatul Amal binti Pengiran Haji Mohammad.  The land lots distribution scheme began in 1985.  Initially it was opened for division two officers only, before the scheme was open for government officers and staff in Divisions three, four and five as well as qualified members of the public.

The Mukim and Kampung Consultative Council as well as the leadership of Penghulu and Head Village also caught His Majesty's attention.  His Majesty visited the home of Awang Mohammad bin Haji Tahir @ Mohamad bin Awang Tahir, Head Village of Kawasan Satu, RPN Lambak Kanan.  His Majesty also heard a presentation on the village achievement including economic activities by the villagers.  Kawasan Satu, RPN Lambak Kanan has a population of 5 thousand 6 hundred people. Another educational institution that caught His Majesty's attention was Lambak Kanan Primary School, Jalan 49.  With nearly 500 pupils from pre-school to year 6, the school is determined to provide a better quality education through effective teaching and learning management.  Among the school's mission is to shape students with a balanced intellectual, emotional and physical aspects.

Apart from taking a closer look at the learning environment, His Majesty also interacted with the school teachers and students.  The Ministry of Education focuses on equipping the young generation with a quality education to produce dynamic individuals who can contribute to the country's development. In line with the School mission "Bergerak Maju Meraih Kecemerlangan di Semua Peringkat Menjelang Tahun 2018", the recent Primary Assessment Result showed an improvement of more than 82 percent of pupils achieving grades A to D.

His Majesty then continued the visit to the homes of recipients of semi-detached and terrace houses at Kampung Panchor Mengkubau National Housing Scheme.  Built over an area of about 320 acres, the scheme provides a total of 4 thousand houses.  Out of the number, 2 thousand 400 houses are terrace-type and the rest are semi-detached houses. In efforts to ensure housing provision under the National Housing Scheme is capable of being sustainable, the Ministry of Development has set up a Housing Focus Group Committee to closely study new approaches by reviewing holistically the government subsidy policy, applicant qualification conditions, and types of housing to be built by taking into account the availability of state lands.  This includes the updated National Housing Scheme Applicants' Data 2017 that allows the ministry to do a more consolidated analysing and research process as well as in raising the existing planning and policy levels for the importance of citizens and residents in the country.

His Majesty's presence at every House Key Presentation Ceremony clearly reflects His Majesty's due attention and care to their welfare, and directly proves the government's commitment in realising His Majesty's aspiration, especially in providing sustainable and affordable homes.  This is in line with one of the National Development Plan, NDP's objectives which is towards enhancing the living standard of the people.
