Launch Of 'Brunei December Festival 2017’
The Brunei December Festival 2017 organised for the first time by the Brunei Tourism Board with the cooperation of various ministries, private sectors and stakeholders aims to increase the number of tourists visiting Brunei Darussalam, where events are aimed at attracting both local and international visitors. The Brunei December Festival was launched yesterday morning at the Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar 'Ali Saifuddien in the capital. It is officiated by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, the Minister of Home Affairs; Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Othman, the Minister of Religious Affairs; Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali bin Apong, the Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism; Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports and Yang Berhormat Dato Paduka Doctor Haji Md Isham bin Jaafar, the Minister of Health.

The Brunei December Festival 2017 organised for the first time by the Brunei Tourism Board with the cooperation of various ministries, private sectors and stakeholders aims to increase the number of tourists visiting Brunei Darussalam, where events are aimed at attracting both local and international visitors. The Brunei December Festival was launched yesterday morning at the Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar 'Ali Saifuddien in the capital.
It was jointly-officiated by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, the Minister of Home Affairs; Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Othman, the Minister of Religious Affairs; Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali bin Apong, the Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism; Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports and Yang Berhormat Dato Paduka Doctor Haji Md Isham bin Jaafar, the Minister of Health.
To ensure the smooth running of its operations and logistics, more than 500 volunteers from the four districts are taking part in assisting the festival's activities. The festival was further enlivened with exhibition booths from various parties, which provides the public an opportunity to know more about the upcoming events.
