The country will be hosting the 5th ASEAN Universities International Conference on Islamic Finance, AICIF. Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali, UNISSA will become the main organiser for the 2-day conference which will begin this 13th of December. At the conference, the delegation will discuss and evaluate on the current development of banking and Islamic Finance as well as provide suggestion to the banking and Islamic finance party who is vital for the future of banking and Islamic Finance. The matter was highlighted yesterday afternoon at the Media Conference.

Doctor Abdul Nasir bin Haji Abdul Rani, Dean of the Faculty of Economic and Islamic Finance, UNISSA, has said that it is an annual International Conference which is organised by 7 Co-Organisers comprising the ASEAN Universities namely, UNISSA; Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia; Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Kalijaga, Jogjakarta, Indonesia; Universitas Islam Sultan Agung, Semarang, Indonesia; Universitas Darussalam Gontor, Indonesia; Mindanao State University of Philippines; dan Universiti Fatoni, Thailand. Apart from the presentation of keynote paper, working papers and forum, several activities including the signing of Memorandum of Understanding between UNISSA and several foreign strategic partnership as well as book sale booths are lined-up throughout the conference.
