Also present were Her Majesty's daughters and sisters; Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah, Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Majeedah Nuurul Bolkiah, and Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna, the Ambassador-at-Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

The function commenced with the reading of Surah Al-Mai'dah by Dayang Hajah Aminah binti Siling, the country's first Qariah representative at the International Tilawah Al-Quran in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 1965.

In her welcoming speech, Dayang Hajijah binti Moktal, Acting Director of Islamic Studies at the Ministry of Religious Affairs among other things touched on this year's Maulidur Rasul theme "Rasulullah Qudwah Pemimpin Adil". Prophet Muhammad SAW is the prime example that one should follow. The Prophet's credibility has made him the best role model in all aspects of life, and it is the obligation of the ummah to follow the Prophet's examples.

The function was further enlivened with a performance by students from the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha Girls Arabic Religious Secondary School. The performance showcased the specialties of the Prophet who is the 'Uswah Hasanah' or the best example for the Muslim ummah in all aspects of life.

The noble characteristics of the Prophet should be made as an example by each leader when carrying out their duties and responsibilities that are entrusted to them. In a special talk, Dayang Hajah Zunainah binti Haji Gunong, a Senior Religious Officer at the Islamic Dakwah Centre highlighted that in the efforts of inculcating the leadership qualities of Prophet Muhammad SAW, honest and trustworthy in leadership is highly required within each leader in order to achieve success.

The function was also enlivened with a Dikir Marhaban presentation by officers and staff from the Prime Minister's Office, Ministry of Religious Affairs and members of the Brunei Darussalam Women's Council. The Doa selamat was read by Datin Hajah Maznah binti Haji Muhammad.

The 24th Women's Special Assembly was conducted by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Prime Minister's Office and the Brunei Darussalam Women's Council. This year's theme portrays Islam as a just religion. Muslim women should be grateful as the teachings of Islam brought by the Prophet have placed women at a special and honorary position. The platform provided by Islam is not an obstacle for women for having their own future; it is more towards protecting women's honour and rights.
