The 2-day youth camping programme of 'A Step Closer towards Empowering Youth' has ended this afternoon with a presentation of certificate to participants. The ceremony took place at the Hassanal Bolkiah mosque in Kampong Mentiri.

Present was Pengiran Haji Haslin bin Pengiran Haji Ali, Acting Director of Mosque Affairs, Department of Mosque Affairs, Ministry of Religious Affairs, who also presented the certificates to the participants. Several activities were held throughout the programme including motivational talk and the reading of Surah Al-Kafi as well as understanding the content story of Surah Al-Kafi. The programme was jointly organised by the Ar-Rafii youth from Hassanal Bolkiah mosque, Kampong Mentiri and RPN Kampong Panchor Consultative Council, Mengkubau.

Meanwhile in the morning session, the camping which was participated by 22 participants were filled with a motivational talk entitled 'Peranan Seorang Belia' or Role of Youth delivered by Awang Haji Ali Yusri bin Haji Abdul Gafor, Acting Head of Special Education Unit, Ministry of Education, among others touched on the important role of youth in the community and reminded the youth to be aware of their responsibility towards the community specifically to the family. He also reminded the youths to make use of their time during the school holidays or while waiting for the exam results by participating in voluntary activity. Also held was a sharing session on ways to make the youth to be open minded and matured in thinking in tackling problems involving the media social, socializing and laziness.
