Successful treatments for cancer involve improving the immune system

The key to successful cancer treatment, says Dr. Eslinger, lies with targeting the disease while simultaneously enhancing the immune system.

Biological Response Modifiers – which include dendritic cell vaccine therapy and Laetrile – may be given orally and intravenously to increase the sensitivity and strength of the immune system. Artesunate, a compound derived from wormwood, may also be used to kill cancer cells.

Cancer, reports Dr. Eslinger, “does not like oxygen.” For this reason, he employs a variety of oxidative therapies. And, because cancer “doesn’t like heat,” hyperthermia therapy can often be used to promote a full recovery.

IPT acts like a “smart bomb” against cancer cells

Insulin potentiation therapy (IPT), a form of low-dose chemotherapy, delivers anticancer agents directly to the cancer cells at a tenth of the normal dose — without toxic side effects.

Because cancer cells use a type of energy production called anaerobic metabolism to burn glucose without using oxygen, cancer cells require more sugar (glucose) than normal aerobic cells. In fact, they require an astounding 18 times more sugar – and it is this “Achilles heel” that Dr. Eslinger exploits with IPT.

In IPT therapy, a dose of intravenous insulin is given to reduce the level of blood sugar and “starve” the cells. The cancer cells then open up cell membranes in order to capture any sugar moving through the blood. At this time, an intravenous dose of sugar is given – but, with a “catch.”

The sugar is given along with anticancer agents, and Dr. Eslinger notes that it functions like a “smart bomb” to deliver the chemo directly to the cells.
