​His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send a message of condolences to His Excellency Rodrigo Roa Duterte, President of the Republic of the Philippines, following the recent tropical storms in Republic of the Philippines.

In the message, His Majesty was deeply saddened to learn of the considerable loss of life and destruction to property caused by the tropical storms. Furthermore His Majesty, the Government and the people of Brunei Darussalam sent their deepest condolences to His Excellency and the Government and people of the Republic of the Philippines, especially to the bereaved families of the victims of these tragedies. In ending the message, His Majesty conveyed his deepest sympathy to His Excellency Rodrigo Roa Duterte, President of the Republic of the Philippines during this very difficult times.
