Flood waters measuring almost a metre high forced 105 pupils of SK Sg Seputi in Beluru to miss classes on Thursday morning.

The students, as well as teachers and staff, were unable to reach the school as access roads were inundated following heavy rain on Wednesday (Jan 10) night.

The Civil Defence Department has deployed teams to the area after being alerted about the flood.

"All the students of the primary school and the kindergarten as well as teachers and staffs could not reach their school," Miri department chief Mohd Hazle Shah said.
