Launch of 8th Command and Staff Course

In line with the Lifelong Learning Policy of the Defence Academy, the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, diversity in the learning environment is very important. Different perspectives provide room to listen and learn from each other, to acquire understanding, new skills and information that would help in facing challenges. The Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, RBAF made the statement during the official launch of the 8th Command and Staff Course at the Defence Academy this afternoon. Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah added, the Lifelong Learning process required the commitment of every individual in order to develop intellectually.
Among those present were the Acting Commissioner of the Royal Brunei Police Force and Services Commanders of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces. This year, Brunei Darussalam is hosting the course with participants from India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Oman, Pakistan, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Thailand, the United Kingdom and the United States of America. Also attending the course are officers of the Royal Brunei Police Force and the Internal Security Department (ISD). The 40 weeks course organised with the cooperation of New Zealand's Massey University aims to broaden the professional and academic knowledge, develop command, analytical and communication skills of mid-level officers to prepare them for higher command and staff appointments.
