Heavy rains this afternoon, has inundated a number of areas especially those in low-lying areas. Among the areas affected were Kampung Bunut, Kampung Jangsak, Kampung Tanjung Bunut and Kilanas. But the floodwaters started to recede after a few hours.

The public are urged to take precautionary measures during the current uncertain weather conditions. This includes, finding out about the weather conditions from time to time, not to carry out activities in the water or beaches, not to swim alone at the beach and not to allow children to swim unmonitored, not to swim during inclement weather or high seas and strong currents.
