Visit to Flood-Affected Areas of Tutong District

From the Belait District, the Minister of Home Affairs and delegation stopped by in the Tutong District to conduct a similar visit and take a closer look at flood-affected areas in the district. During the visit, Yang Berhormat Pehin also held meetings with Penghulu Mukim and Heads of Villages affected by the flood.

 

 Among the affected areas are Jalan Rompou-Rambai, Jalan Kuala Ungar, Jalan Bangkuru and Jalan Benutan. Several facilities such as transport vehicles have been provided by the Royal Brunei Land Force at affected roads especially at Jalan Kecil Layong for residents who need such service. At present, Kampong Benutan, Penapar, Jalan Bangkuru, Jalan Rambai, Jalan Kuala Ungar-Rambai and Jalan Kecil Layong can already be accessed by all vehicles. Also present during the working visit were members of the Legislative Council; Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Umarali bin Esung, Yang Berhormat Awang Hj Abdul Wahab bin Apong who is also the Penghulu of Mukim Tanjong Maya and Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Ramli bin Haji Lahit who is also the Penghulu of Mukim Telisai.
