His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday afternoon granted an audience to Awangku Muhammad Adibul Amin bin Pengiran Haji Marjuki and Dayang Siti Huzaimah Yadey binti Haji Rosli, the first runner-up and third-place winner, respectively in the male and female categories of the 58th International Tilawah Al-Quran Competition held in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur.

Present during the audience were Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Data Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs and Dato Paduka Awang Haji Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs.

Also in attendance were Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid, Permanent Secretary (Law and Welfare) at the Prime Minister's Office (PMO); Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Mohd Yusof, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs; and Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yusop bin Bakar and Dayang Hajah Aminah binti Haji Abdul Manaf, who mentored the two Al-Quran readers.

The ceremony took place at the Istana Nurul Iman.
