Dawn Lecture

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN

Parents have a big role in the development of society. This is especially so in the proper development of today's generation by teaching them the proper way to perform the daily prayers.  This is vital because solat or the daily prayers are the core of Zikir or way to remember Allah the Almighty. The matter was emphasised by Awang Haji Mohammad Shahrol Azmi bin Haji Abdul Muluk, the Deputy Director of Core Knowledge Centre, Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College, KUPU SB in yesterday morning's Tazkirah Subuh or dawn lecture during the 'Masjidku Makmur, Negara Berkat' programme.

The religious function was attended by Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs, Awang Haji Mohd Serudin bin Haji Timbang, the Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Awang Haji Roslan bin Haji Taja'ah, the Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The dawn talk also focused on the Ulul Albab generation who are praised and favoured by Allah the Almighty because of two things, the way they remember Allah and the way the think. The speaker said in line with the aspiration of His Majesty Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam that the country moves forward as a Zikir nation, the people should recite zikir not only verbally but with the heart and soul so that they will always think and remember the greatness of Allah.
