Ministry Of Religious Affairs Will Continue To Monitor The Flood Situation

The Ministry of Religious Affairs will continue to monitor the flood situation at Kampung Rambai and Kampung Benutan Religious Schools in Tutong District following incessant raining in the last few days.  The Ministry is also monitoring flooding at Kampung Bukit and Kampung Benutan mosques.  This afternoon, Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, The Deputy Minister Of Religious Affairs visited the school which is also used by the Ministry of Education and told RTB that the Ministry of Religious Affairs will take appropriate action and discuss with the relevant parties on how to address unexpected problems during the uncertain weather and flood conditions.

 

The Deputy Minister said classes were going on as usual except today's attendance was much less than the total number of 47 pupils.  Due to unfavourable circumstances, only three pupils were able to attend religious classes in the afternoon.  Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom added the Islamic Studies Department, the Ministry of Religious Affairs and other agencies under the ministry would monitor the flood affecting the school and hoped the situation improved so that the pupils could continue normal classes.

 

The tour included the Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Yussof, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and other senior officers of the ministry.
