Two individuals have been issued with a 100-dollar compound fine each for an offence under Section 12 (1) (a) of the Minor Offences Act. Muhamad Fahru Nizam and Ari Wicaksonodi have been found guilty for disposing their cigarette buds in a public area, inside a Government building compound.

The Law Enforcement Unit of the Bandar Seri Begawan Municipal Department ordered Muhamad Fahru Nizam and Ari Wicaksonodi to settle the fine within 7 days of the compound issue date. Individuals, the public and bodies including business premises are hereby reminded to always maintain cleanliness and be responsible towards the cleanliness of the environment.
