To improve the quality of Arabic language proficiency among students, the Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College, KUPU SB yesterday afternoon held the second Al-Mu'allim Language Workshop, specifically for education officers and Arabic language teachers for Arabic schools under the Islamic Studies Department, Ministry of Religious Affairs. The workshop took place at the University College.

Among those present were Dato Seri Setia Doktor Awang Haji Japar bin Haji Mat Dain@Maidin, Deputy State Mufti and Doctor Haji Adanan bin Haji Besar, the Acting Raes of KUPU SB. 20 education officers and Arabic language teachers under the Islamic Studies Department are taking part in the 10-week workshop, which aims to improve the ability of the teachers in mastering the methods and techniques for Arabic language teaching and learning. The workshop is also hoped to benefit and give added-value to the participants in producing students who are really capable and skilled in the four aspects namely listening, reading, writing and speaking in Arabic.
