The Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association through the Rover Scouts Division held the 2nd Nationwide Rover Scouts Gathering in conjunction with the 85th anniversary of the scouts' movement in Brunei Darussalam and the 100th anniversary of World Rover Scouts. The gathering aimed to provide understanding on the history of the rover scouts movement and the members' role as well as inform on any activities that will be held throughout the year. The event was held at the Scouts Association headquarters in Beribi.

 Present was Dato Paduka Haji Idris bin Haji Abas, the President of the Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association. During the gathering, a sharing session with Awang Haji Othman bin Durani, former commissioner of Scouts and Awang Zainudin bin Haji Hisyak, Scouts Executive Officer among others talked about the history of the Rover Scouts establishment in the country. The brainstorming session on the direction of the Junior Scouts after Year 11 in schools was also delivered by the Brunei Muara Scouts Commissioner. The event was also attended by members of the Miri and Limbang branch of the Malaysia Scouts Association. The Rover Scouts Division is the final division in the Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association Training Scheme of which the members comprise of youths aged between 18 and 26. The training and programmes offered in this division is directed towards "Life Skill Training".
