The 'Lakas Tah Minum Air Kosong' campaign - which is extended to schools - is hoped to nurture the practise of bringing and drinking plain water in school. The campaign - organised by the Ministry of Health through the Health Promotion Centre with the cooperation of UBD undergraduates is to support the policy of drinking plain water by extending the campaign to religious schools. This afternoon, the campaign was held at the Pengiran Anak Puteri Norain Religious School in Tutong.

Present was Awang Morslin bin Haji Noralimin, Assistant Officer of the Tutong District Islamic Studies.  A health briefing on the importance of drinking plain water and the risk of over-drinking drinks that contain high amounts of sugar was also held.  Pengiran Armah binti Pengiran Haji Apong, Assistant Headmistress of the Pengiran Anak Puteri Norain Religious School in an interview explained that the school has distributed a letter to inform parents and guardians to provide plain water to their children to school.

The Brunei Darussalam National Health and Consumption Status 2011 Research found that 34 point 6 percent of children between the ages of 5 to 14 drink beverages which contain high amounts of sugar every day.
