CrossFit Athlete to Participate in Australian Championship

Recently crowned the fittest in Brunei Darussalam by the CrossFit Games, Michael Mogard makes his sixth journey to the CrossFit Pacific Regional to be held at the WIN Sports and Entertainment Centre in Wollongong, Australia.
The owner of three CrossFit 673 branches across the Sultanate will be one of the 10 individuals representing Asia, taldng on 30 other athletes from Australia and New Zealand.
Starting Friday, the Iowa native will be taking on seven workouts throughout the weekend. Designed to test their all-around fitness and capabilities, athletes will be judged in the fields of cardio, gymnastics (muscle ups, handstand push ups and walks) and weightlifting (snatches and overhead squats and deadlifts).
"I've dedicated a lot of time to strict gymnastics work over the past few months, so it will be great to test my training over the weekend," the 32-year-old Mogard added.
