It was a jolly day for the students at Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah School (YSSHB School) as Baiduri Bank staff joined them in a roadshow to celebrate the annual National Savings Day.

The roadshow was part two in a series of four roadshows organised by Autoriti Monetari Brunei Darussalam (AMBD) for the National Savings Day bearing the theme of `Generasi Celik Kewangan' or Financially Literate Generation. The theme describes the goal towards creating a generation that is prudent of their finances and understands the need to save.

Similar to the first part of the celebrations held at Lambak Kanan Primary School last week, several activities and games, specifically designed by Baiduri Bank for the National Savings Day, were lined up for the students. These include a word search puzzle (Fortune Finder), a board game based on life (My Savings Journey) as well as Express Banking, an interactive and fun game that involves quick arithmetic.

As part of the day's activities, Baiduri Bank also gave away limited numbers of DPMM FC mini balls and access passes to enter the part three of the National Savings Day celebrations, the AMBD Financial Funfair.

The carnival style event is open to the public and will be held at The Colonnade, Jerudong Park Playground on the May 22.

The public will have a chance to take part in the games and activities prepared by Baiduri Bank for the National Savings Day.

The National Savings Day is one of the ways that the bank has shown support for national initiatives to promote a savings culture.

Baiduri Bank is also the financial sponsor for the Junior Achievement (JA) Brunei.

Several programmes focusing on teaching students about money, entrepreneurship and budgeting have been introduced as an extracurricular activity in selected primary and secondary schools all over the country under JA Brunei.
