BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN
A Bangladeshi man was produced before the Bandar Seri Begawan Magistrate's Court to face two immigration charges.
For the first offence, the court ordered Firoz Miah, 44 year-old, to be imprison for three months and given three strokes of the cane after his Immigration Pass expired for 795 days. For the second offence, he was sent to the prison for three months for possessing illegal immigration stamp. Firoz Miah was apprehended at the Seria Market parking lot during "Ops Cantas". The sentences are to run concurrently starting today.
