Golf Richard Mille Brunei 2018 Championship Prize Presentation Ceremony

His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah Ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office graced the prize presentation ceremony of the Golf Richard Mille Brunei 2018 Championship. The ceremony took place at the Empire Hotel and Country Club in Jerudong, yesterday afternoon.

 

Upon arrival, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince was greeted by Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Muda Abdul Hakeem ibni His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah, Event Organiser, Yang Berhormat Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports and Awang Haji Mohammad Junaidi bin Pehin Orang Kaya Digadong Seri Diraja Dato Laila Utama Haji Awang Abdul Rahman, Chairman of the Organising Committee.

 

Also in attendance were His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien and Her Royal Highness Princess 'Azemah Ni'matul Bolkiah binti His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah.

 

The Chairman of the Organising Committee in his welcoming speech among other things touched on the objective of the championship.

 

His Royal Highness the Crown Prince then handed over cheques to two organisations. The Pengiran Muda Mahkota Al-Muhtadee Billah Fund for Orphans received 7-thousand 500 dollars and was presented to Dato Paduka Eddie bin Dato Paduka Haji Sunny, Managing Director of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah. The Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajah Maryam also received 7-thousand 500 dollars and was handed over to Dato Paduka Awang Haji Mohd Alimin bin Haji Abdul Wahab, Senior Trustee of Pusat Ehsan Al Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam.

 

His Royal Highness then presented a 60-thousand US dollar prize to Kun Kiradech Aphibarnrat, winner of the Golf Richard Mille Brunei Championship.

 

His Royal Highness received a Pasambah from the event organiser and chairman of the organising committee. 120 golfers from 20 countries took part in the four-day golf championship which was organised in conjunction with the country's National Day Celebration.
