The Ministry of Development has a number of strategies carried out through various road management and maintenance programmes nationwide. This was explained by the Minister of Development in response to the query raised by Yang Berhormat Pengiran Haji Ali bin Pengiran Maon on the strategies of the Ministry to ensure that the road maintenance projects are not neglected.

According to Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Suhaimi bin Haji Gafar, among the programmes include asphalt repaving at road networks nationwide, upgrading small roads and junctions, as well as maintenance and upgrading bridges. Apart from that, other programmes carried out also include repair works on damaged roads, grass cutting and road clean-up works
