People who manage and use their time wisely performing acts of piety, good deeds and useful acts are the fortunate and successful ones in life.  Time is important and when it has passed it would never return again, so make the best use of time.  The call was made by the Imam or prayer leaders in the Khutbah Jumaa' or Friday sermon today.  The topic was "Filling Time during the School Holidays".

In the sermon, the prayer leaders highlighted that Islam encourages the ummah to manage time wisely, especially in using working hours appropriately and spend leisure time or holidays in the best way.  Students and their parents should make good use of the school holidays.  The sermon added parents play an important role in planning and arranging the holiday activities and that parental monitoring and attention are vital.  The prayer leaders said do not let the young ones spend time doing non-productive things, fearing they could be led into doing unhealthy anti-social and anti-religion activities.
