A Royal Brunei Air Force personnel has been promoted to Special Commissioned Officer. The promotion is by the consent of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam. The promotion ceremony for 15878 Sergeant Udara Mohammad Suranizam bin Sulaiman to the rank of Lieutenant took place yesterday morning at Royal Brunei Air Force Headquarters.

The insignia presentation ceremony was led by Major General Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces. Sergeant Mohammad Suranizam has been in RBAF for 16 years since 11th of March 2002 as a Radar Technician in the Engineering troop. He obtained Bachelor in Engineering (Hons) in Mechatronics Engineering degree in 2016. He had also underwent an internship programme at the United States of America.
