COMMONWEALTH DRIVE, JALAN KEBANGSAAN

In an effort to raise awareness on cardiovascular diseases and cancer, Plus+ Magazine is organising its second annual charity run in conjunction with World Heart Day on August 7.

This was announced during a press conference at the Health Promotion Centre (HPC), Commonwealth Drive yesterday.

Carrying the theme 'Help a Heart Beat the Odds', the charity run seeks to gather individuals and companies to increase knowledge on overall heart health and to raise funds for HEART Brunei, an non-profit organisation committed to assist individuals with heart problems.

Plus+ Magazine is also opening opportunities to the public and private sector as well as individuals to contribute to the run by participating in the race through sponsorships and partnerships.

The race, comprising three categories which include the three-kilometre, five-kilometre and 10-kilometre run, will offer lucky draw prizes. The magazine is also offering limited edition merchandise and gift packets to the first 2,000 registered participants.

In partnership with Plus+ Magazine represented by Louis Loo Kee Lee, Business Developer, Jonathan Ooi from Magic Media; HPC partners, namely Paul Chiew, HEART Brunei; Shahiran, Ministry of Health (MoH); Muizz Hasnani, Victory Athletes; Dr. Mohamad Ezam bin Emran, Cardiac Centre; and Pengiran Nor Ikhsan bin Pengiran Jaya Indera Pengiran Haji Mokhtar Puteh, Gleneagles Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC), have joined together to increase awareness on health issues during the event.

Registration will start May 13 and payment can be made at Aewon Garment & Embroidery branches at The Airport Mall, Kiarong and Seria.
