The Vehicle Inspection Station service is expected to be extended to the other districts. The Minister of Communications said the measure would provide greater convenience to the public and save government spending by eight hundred fifty thousand dollars ($850,000.00) a year.
For greater convenience to the public, the vehicle inspection service which was previously conducted by the Land Transport Department is now provided by private companies which act as Vehicle Inspection Stations in the Brunei Muara District. The service not only provides more convenience and choice to the public but also opens the opportunity for the private sector to participate.
