YASKA Children, Families Feted to Fun-Filled Activities

 March 28th, 2016  |  05:44 AM  |   2115 views

MABOHAI, BRUNEI-MUARA

The children of the Children's Cancer Foundation (YASKA) and their families were treated to fun-filled activities with Lego bricks yesterday, at the 'Lego for a Cause' project hosted by the Mabohai Shopping Complex.

The day of fun, intended to put smiles on the children's faces, was a charity event organised by P-nut's Merchandise in collaboration with Mabohai Shopping Complex, Lego and Technic (BULAT), Brunei Fans of Lego (BruFol) and Toy Santa.

Besides play activities for children, there was also a Lego display set up by BULAT and BruFol, along with a range of colourful games which included the Speed Building and the Walk on Lego challenges.

According to Simon Woo, the founder of Lego and Technic (BULAT), Lego is an educational toy which helps to enhance child development in terms of creativity, intelligence and critical cognitive skills, in addition to stimulating imagination and curiosity in children.

The event also gave local Lego hobbyists and enthusiasts the opportunity to share their passion with children who had previously been unable to enjoy the game, owing to illness or disabilities.
