YSHHB Primary School Organised Talent Time 2.0: Storytelling Competition

Fourteen Year 2 pupils from Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (YSHHB) Primary School took part yesterday in a 'Talent Time 2.0: Storytelling Competition', organised by the school's English Department.

 

Present as the guest of honour was the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of YSHHB School, Awang Noorhaizamdin bin Haji Mohd Mosbi.

 

Also in attendance was Pengiran Nur Aleeyah Syifa binti Pengiran Anak Haji Mohammed Al-Mokhtar, the granddaughter of Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna, Ambassador-at-Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

 

In her welcoming remarks, Dayang Aleaa Nur Insyirah binti Dr. Haji Alias, the competition's programme director, said that its main objective was helping the children to improve their language skills, as well as boosting their confidence.

 

The competition was divided into seven groups of twos, all dressed in colourful costumes, as they narrated stories to the audience.

 

Afterwards, Awang Abdul Malek bin Muhammad Shahrol and Dayang Zara Rizqiyya binti Zunaidi of Year 2 Mars, were announced as first-place winners and received their prizes from the guest of honour.

 

In second place were Awang Abdul Qahar bin Khairul Shahrim and Dayang Siti Hawa binti Dr. Mohamad Ady Adillah from Year 2 Jupiter, while Awang Muhd Iman Naqiuddin bin Muhd Sallehuddin and Dayangku Siti Aisyah Al-Humaira binti Pengiran Zainuddin of Year 2 Venus, came in third.
