In the rapidly changing era, the Muslim ummah or nation is faced with misleading beliefs and sophisticated mass media used in disseminating information. A tap of the fingertip will spread any issue in no time without any delay or obstruction. Highlighting the matter, the Deputy State Mufti said the information is spread freely without passing through a censoring channel.

Speaking during the National Mazhab Syafi'i Seminar, Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Japar bin Haji Mat Dain alias Maidin the dissemination of information which violate the purity of Islam is an issue that should be addressed by all Muslims especially the Muslims scholars. It is a big responsibility because a correct understanding of Maqasi Shari'ah will help people to build a harmonious life befitting the task of mankind as the Earth's Caliphs. The Deputy State Mufti added those entrusted with the administration of the Earth should carry out the responsibility honestly and justly which ultimately will create a prosperous world with pious people.

A keynote address titled, "Maqasid Syariah : Amalan Negara Madinah Sebagai Motivasi kepada Negara Islam Kontemporari" or "The Purpose of Shari'ah: The Practices of Madinah as Motivation to the Contemporary Muslim Nation" by Dato Doctor Haji Nooh bin Gadot, the Advisor of Johore Muslim Religious Council shared the mission of Maqasid Shari'ah to ensure management is Islamic, transparent, systematic, comprehensive, professional, dynamic and has integrity. The subject highlighted the practices of Madinah As a Motivation to the Contemporary Muslim Nation.

Carrying the theme, "Maqasid Syariah Pemangkin Negara Makmur" the seminar among other things was intended to provide deep understanding on Maqasid Shari'ah and related scope by explaining the various aspects of the practices. The one-day seminar presented six morking papers.
