Yang Berhormat Yang Di-Pertua of the Islamic Religious Council announces that the 1st of Syaaban 1439 falls on Tuesday, 17th of April 2018. Following to that, Nifsu Syaaban for 1439 falls on Monday Afternoon, 30th of April 2018.

Therefore, sighting for the new moon of Ramadan will be determined on Tuesday afternoon, 29th Syaaban 1439 corresponding to 15th of May 2018. Sighting for the new moon will be conducted

- Bukit Agok, Jerudong, Brunei Muara District

- Tanjung Batu, Muara Town, Brunei Muara District
