The Department of Planning, Development and Research, under the Ministry of Education (MoE), hosted a religious forum yesterday at The Rizqun International Hotel, in honour of Isra' Mi'raj.

The guest of honour was Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman, the Minister of Education.

Also among those in attendance were Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, the Deputy Minister of Education; and Dr. Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal, the Rector of Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA).

The forum headlined 'Prayer is the Key to Heaven' was facilitated by Awang  Mohammed Sirazzudeen bin Haji Mohamed Maideen from Sultan Omar 'Ali Saifuddien College. Two panelists – Awang Haji Abdussalam bin Haji Abdul Rahman from UNISSA and Awang Mohammad Hazmi bin Haji Ahmad Daud from the Department of Examinations - participated.

The religious event was intended to promote goodwill among officials and staff in the MoE, in addition to commemorating the physical and spiritual journeys made by the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in a single night. The Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) yesterday held a career roadshow at the Sengkurong Community.
