A group of Easter Bunnies in Dorset have been very busy this morning.

More than 3,000 people in Alderholt awoke to find chocolate treats had been left at their doors.

No-one knows who the mysterious benefactors are, but blurry pictures taken at around 2am showed them bouncing around the streets dressed in rabbit costumes.

Mum-of-one Clare Winton-Giles, 29, said the streets were lined with the foil-wrapped gifts as she walked into work.

‘It’s only a little chocolate rabbit, but it is brilliant and brings a little bit of joy to our village,’ she said.

‘It shows there’s still a nice community spirit out there and everyone has got one, no one has been forgotten.’

It is thought there were around ten bunnies who braved the cold.

This is the second year running the rabbits have appeared in the East Dorset village.
