A fire that occurred in the West Banjarmasin around 08:15, Friday (25/3) morning, engulf a 15 doors bedakan (rented house), AntaranewsKalsel reported.

AntaranewsKalsel reporter saw the fire look bigger on the scene at Jalan Sutoyos S precisely behind Teluk Dalam Grand Mosque in Gang Rahayu RT 8 connecting to Rawa Sari, Pelambuan Village, Sub-district of West Banjarmasin.

Dozens of firefighters continued to spray water toward the burning building not to spread to other buildings. The fire occurred in densely populated settlements.

At the time of extinguishing the fire, two firefighters fallen unconscious, because of inhaling the thick smoke from the fire.

Not long after the fire was extinguished, the chief of RT (neighborhood unit) 8 Abdussuki said there were no casualties in the incident. For the time being unknown three houses and three of 15 door bedakan were burned.

There were about 11 households and 35 people homeless and evacuated to a nearby family or neighbors.

Fire case is now handled by the local police for investigating where it came from and the cause of the fire.
