A talk was held at Mahad Islam Brunei yesterday under a nationwide religious programme to prepare religious and Arabic school students for their exams.

The talk entitled 'Preparing for Examination' was delivered by Religious Education Officer at Mahad Islam Brunei, Awang Haji Muliady bin Muhammad with the aim of putting the students in the right state of mind to prepare for their exams.

Some 500 students from Years 5 to 11 attended the programme at the Surau of Mahad Islam Brunei.

Haji Muliady highlighted the need for students to prepare early and continuously such as doing a lot of reading and revision, as well as making sure that they clearly understand the subject matter.

Other than the talk, the programme included a mass Sunnat Hajat prayer led by Ustaz Dr. Asnawi bin Haji Ashra; and recitation of a Doa for exam; mass recitation of Surah Yaassiin led by Ustaz Ariffin bin Haji Hamid; special Doa in conjunction with Family Day led by Ustaz Abdul Azim bin Haji Ismail; and 'Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Brunei Darussalam' by Ustaz Ibni Hashim.

A similar programme also took place at Kiudang Religious School.

The religious programme hopes to educate students on living religiously.

The programme also supports the vision of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam to make Brunei Darussalam a Zikir Nation.
