President Bounnhang Vorachit yesterday at Presidential Palace in Vientiane Capital received a courtesy call from Vietnamese Defense Minister Gen Ngo Xuan Lich, who is on a working visit for ASEAN Defense Ministers’ Meeting scheduled for May 25-26.

​President Bounnhang highly valued the visit to Laos by the Vietnamese Minister as a significant contribution to enhancing the longstanding friendly relationship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, governments and people of Laos and Vietnam, especially the bilateral cooperation between the Ministries of National Defense of Laos and Vietnam.

In return, the visiting Minister expressed heartfelt thanks to President Bounnhang Vorachit for the warm welcome the president extended to him and his entourage and informed the president of the purposes of his working visit to Laos.
